"Breakfast with a Logistics Expert" webinar

COREX Logistics was delighted to host the fourth Breakfast with a Logistics Expert in the format of a webinar on April 6, 2020. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic this is the very first time the event has been held in an online format. The webinar was designed specifically for a Russian audience and tackled the topical subject “Practical steps in clinical logistics to minimize the negative impact of the pandemic". COREX Logistics also announced a new delivery service designed to overcome some of the challenges posed by COVID-19 restrictions.

Over 100 representatives from leading pharmaceutical companies, CROs and representatives from scientific laboratories participated in the webinar. 

The audience heard from a selection of experts including:

  • Eugene Rogov, MD JD PhD MSc (PharmMed) MRQA independent GxP auditor, who gave practical recommendations for validation of logistics providers in the event of a pandemic.

  • Vladimir Krechikov, Country Head, Russia, CROMOS Pharma, who outlined the challenges for conducting clinical trials in Russia amid COVID-19 restrictions.

  • Sergey Bordashov, Managing Director, COREX Logistics, announced a new service for safe delivery of medicines from research centers directly to patients as part of a clinical trial. The Site to Patient Delivery Service was developed by the company in response to the difficulties being experienced by patients in accessing medicines vital for their health and the continuity of clinical trials.

  • Natalia Karfidova, Director of Customs and Regulatory Clearance at COREX Logistics, who spoke about positive actions by customs to expedite the release of cargo and facilitate timely document flow in spite of the logistical challenges associated with COVID-19 restrictions.

  • Finally, Vitaly Shakhnazarov, Quality Director, COREX Logistics Global, underlined the unparalleled challenges posed by the current pandemic but stressed that from the point of view of quality management the focus should be to maintain standards.
