Wishing for peace this St Patrick’s Day

COREX Logistics wishes all its clients, partners, colleagues, and friends peace and happiness this St Patrick’s Day.

This year, we will be thinking of the people of Ukraine and those who have left that country as a result of the ongoing conflict - thousands of whom are being welcomed with characteristic warmth to Ireland.

COREX is proud to have established its headquarters in this beautiful island nation which has come through its own share of conflict and difficulties.

It’s 8 years since our CEO brought COREX to Ireland with the help and support of Enterprise Ireland. In 2020, COREX also became a client company of the IDA and we have been working hard to establish connections in Ireland and build our business in European and US markets from our base in Dublin.

A natural home for a medical logistics company focused on growth

Although Ireland may be small in size with population of just under 5 million, it is fair to say when it comes to healthcare and life sciences it boxes well above its weight.

Ireland is recognized as a global leader in the life sciences sector with an eco-system that allows it to attract some of the leading companies in pharma, biotech and MedTech.

According to Enterprise Ireland the life sciences sector:

• Exports more than €45 billion annually.
• Employs over 50,000 people directly.
• Includes operations of six of the top seven diagnostics companies.

Ireland is home to 24 of the world’s leading pharma and biotech companies — including Johnson & Johnson, Sanofi, Pfizer, MSD, and Amgen, among many others. Like COREX Logistics, these companies have been attracted to Ireland for a number of reasons.

Located at the edge of Europe, Ireland is a well-established member of the European Union with highly competitive globally-focused economy. In 2021, the Institute for Management Development (IMD) ranked Ireland as the 4th most competitive country in the euro area and the 13th most competitive economy in the world (out of 64 economies).
