You work hard, you are under constant stress and you rarely unwind. And by unwinding we don’t mean spending time on the sofa watching TV. Arthur Conan Doyle believed that the best rest is the change of activity. And if this change of activity is be accompanied by being around likeminded people, helping protect our planet and make it more beautiful, who would not like it. This is the impetus behind the idea of “Pharma Garden” that we at COREX came up with 5 years ago.

Pharma Garden can be described as an “eco-event”, a fancy term that doesn’t give full justice to the wonderful concept behind it. This event is aimed at bringing together the fellow-thinkers engaged in the pharmaceutical industry to assist Moscow hospitals in rejuvenating its grounds. We plant trees and lay flower beds, beautify the lawns, do light painting as so on.

This year Pharma Garden will be held in A.N. Bakulev National Medical Research Center of Cardiovascular Surgery on April 24th. In addition to making the grounds of the Bakulev Center even more beautiful, we will be joined by Professor Olga Bokeria who will give a lecture about heart protection and will then participate in a “Walk with a Doctor” event, during which the volunteers will have an opportunity to communicate with experienced cardiologists in an informal setting. Moreover, we are expecting a visit of Russia’s most famous cardiologist, Professor Leo Bokeria, who would like to personally greet our volunteers.

Join us at Pharma Garden 2019 and make the world a little bit better, one tree at a time!

The pharmaceutical industry has faced numerous challenges since the beginning of 2021 including the rush to supply COVID-19 vaccines. The start of the year also saw the departure of the UK from the EU and theEuropean Medicines Agency (EMA). The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is now fully in charge of all regulatory matters, oversight of clinical research and approval of medicines.
